CNA Classes in OH ~ Safety techniques and Infection control

If you are planning to attend Certified Nurse Aide Training in Ohio, you must remember that CNA Training Ohio is managed and regulated by the Ohio Department of Health and oversees the implementation of the federal and state regulations in these programs. The ODH also supervise the STNA Ohio Examination to find out the nursing care competency of CNAs, who work in Medicare/Medicaid certified long term care facilities and are registered with Ohio State Nurse Aide Registry after passing of the certification exam.

The basic requirements of the Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) in Ohio include two parts, Pre resident contact component and Resident care component.
NATCEP consists of a total 75-hour training schedule of both classroom instruction and clinical skills training. The Pre-resident training is classroom training, which is for 16 hours and during this period the student is not allowed top work with the residents. The remaining 59 hours of training are allocated between classroom/lab and clinical training and during this period of training, students may work with the residents.

The training programs are offered at through various post secondary schools, community and vocational colleges, private schools, technical institutes and long term care facilities. There are nearly 400 CNA certification programs throughout Ohio that are approved by the Department of Health.
