CNA Certification Classes in NE

Who are Certified Nurse Aides in Nebraska? In Nebraska, a CNA is a certified nurse aide or orderly, who have completed 75 hours of CNA Training Nebraska, consisting of classroom instructions and clinical learning component, cleared certification exam in a Medicare/ Medicaid certified facility and got registered with the nurse aide registry.

Any working Nurse aides in an approved nursing homes that is not Medicare or Medicaid certified, needs to complete state and federal approved 75 hour certified nurse aide training and pass the certification test. It is also essential that a nurse assistant must also complete state approved 21 hours basic resident care course in an intermediate care facility for the mentally retarded(ICF-MR). The training must be completed under the supervision of RN or LPN. A student is not allowed to mix up with actual patients during classroom learning but can practice their classroom learning with patients in clinical hands-on experience after the completion of classroom training.

The Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services oversees numerous CNA Montana training programs offered by various schools, technical institutes and colleges all over the state to find out about the implementation of federal OBRA-87 requirements. The MDPHHS also manages, regulates and maintain Montana Nurse Aide Registry.
There are also certain prerequisites for enrolling in any school for CNA programs and certification:

  • 16 years & above  age;
  • Knowledge of English language speaking and understanding.
  • Needed to complete state and federal approved 75 hour nurse aide training and competency evaluation program within 120 days in a job or 21 hour basic resident care course for intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded.
  • No Criminal background, no felony charges and no illegal or unethical practice record.
