CNA Classes in MO | Requirements for Nurse Assistant

If any individual wants to work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, adult care centers, nursing homes, long term care facility, mental care centers or as a home health aide, he/she need to complete federal OBRA-87 and Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) approved CNA Training Missouri. The completion of the training not only allows them to earn certification and listing with Missouri state nurse aide registry but also make them competent in offering routine nursing care to suffering patients.


colorado-cna-classesThe training program can be attended from various community and vocational institutes, post secondary schools, trade schools, technical institutes and long term care facilities. Though training programs may vary slightly as per training provider requirements, but the necessities for the training includes:
• Accreditation of the CNA program
75 hours of classroom course study
• 100 hours of clinical experience on actual patients
• Instruction by a licensed nurse or registered nurse
The basic curriculum for the program features learning on the following skills:
• Basic nursing care
• Fire safety and disaster training
• Residents’ rights
• Medical terminology.
• Promoting and respecting of Patients’ rights and independence
• care of dementia or cognitively suffered patients
