But, to become a certified Nurse Aide, there is certain process that has to be completed, such as CNA Training Colorado, earning of Nurse Aide Certification and Registering with state nurse aide registry.
CNA Training Colorado
CNA Training Colorado must be state approved and follow the provisions of Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987, which require minimum 75 hours of CNA Training Program.
The state of Colorado even crosses the federal requirements and a student need to attend training program of total 80 hours, which comprises of classroom theoretical instruction/lab and clinical hands-on training. The basic curriculum of the training program includes subjects based on:
- Basic Nursing Cares
- Personal Nursing Cares
- General Nursing care
- Adult care
- Mental Care
- Promotion/respect of Patients’ rights and independence
- Restorative cares
- Emergency care, Infection Control
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
It is also to be noted that the Colorado state training program is supervised and managed by the Board of Nursing, through the Department of Regulatory Agencies.
A student can attend these programs by attending classes at various nursing schools, community and vocational institutes, private schools, technical institutes and long term care facilities.
The completion of the program allows you to sit for the Colorado CNA Certification exam, the passing of the test get you listed with state Nurse Aide Registry and award of certification.
